The company Wired has dubbed “the gold standard” of skateboards
From just a couple of grad students looking for a better way to get around campus to, what Wired has dubbed “the gold standard” of skateboards, Boosted boards believes in fun, fast, and simple transportation for everyone. They’ve redefined what transportation can be.
With the summer season of 2019 in full swing and the release of their new scooter, the Boosted Rev, the timing to begin offering protection was perfect. Boosted was looking for a technology-first partner that would put customer experience at the forefront of their extended warranty and accident protection offering.
Boosted began seeing strong attachment rates within the first month of working with Clyde. The company’s compact boards, the Mini S and Mini X, saw a 5.73% attachment rate. Their long boards, the Plus and Stealth, saw a 6.5% attachment rate, and their scooter saw a 7.86% attachment rate within the first month. Within that same time period, Boosted took the initiative to run their own post-purchase campaign. The attachment rates for post-purchase sales alone were a staggering 15.6% for their scooter.
Since the re-launch of Clyde’s Customer Dashboard (HiClyde) and the roll out of post-purchase as an alternative way to purchase a product protection plan, post-purchase capabilities prove to be a significant source of sales and revenue for Boosted—post-purchase sales comprise almost 20% of their product protection plans sold, half of which comes solely from scooter protection plans.
Thus far, the partnership between Boosted and Clyde has yielded an overall attachment rate of approximately 13%, more than 3 times the industry average. By choosing to partner with Clyde, they’ve received the support they need to improve and protect the way people move around neighborhoods, campuses, and cities around the US.
